Numerous opportunities for flexible working at Pets-24

Pets-24 is a growing out-of-hours and critical care centre in West London that aims to provide a professional and approachable service to our participating Practices and their clients, using the premises of, and working with, The Pets Practice.

Pets-24 is extremely well-equipped, enjoying an in-house lab, full rigid & flexible endoscopy suite, ultrasound with colour Doppler, ECG, infusion pumps, ICU cages and more. We are also fortunate in having an exceptionally friendly, professional & dedicated team who provide the highest levels of care to our patients. The Pets Practice also provides a referral service in Soft-Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery.

At present Pets-24 provides out-of-hours cover to a small number of local Practices, meaning shifts are never excessively busy, allowing clinicians to work their cases up in an unpressurised environment, using the full array of diagnostic equipment available.

Pets-24 is situated near Uxbridge, within easy reach of all forms of public transport, as well as to the M25, M4 & M40.

Looking for a longer term position with a good work/life balance?

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who enjoys a high standard of practice to join our evening and weekend team. We provide an excellent, mutually flexible rota of roughly 7 nights on in 14, shared with other colleagues. You will be someone who is looking for a longer term position or locum, who enjoys providing excellent customer care and is keen to develop high standards of practice but who is also looking for a position that offers excellent time off and a performance related salary from £40k per annum, depending on the shift pattern chosen. Accommodation is available on-site and a van is provided.

Experience of working in a critical care environment is not essential - the successful candidate will be provided with ample support and training. CPD will be actively encouraged and funded, especially in diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology and critical care medicine and surgery.

Part-time, locum, job share and occasional weekend and night positions are also available.

If a longer term position is not for you, we are also able to provide numerous locum positions for colleagues looking for regular week-night or weekend work. These opportunities would suit those studying further and looking to supplement their income; or those looking for regular part-time or job-share opportunities. Performance related pay from £220 per shift is available.
